  1. Wash dhuli moong dal 2-3 times in running water. Transfer it in pressure cooker. Add water, salt and turmeric powder and pressure cook till 2 whistles.
  2. Switch off the flame and let pressure releases automatically.
  3. Heat cooking oil in a wok. Add chopped onion and saute till pink. Add grated ginger and saute for 1 minute. Add chopped tomatoes, green chilli, red chilli powder. Saute till oil leaves the sides.

  5. Now in a tadka pan add ghee. Add cumin seeds and when cumin seeds splutter add red chilli powder and garam masala and then switch off the flame.
