- 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
- 1 tsp coriander powder
- 1/2 tsp red chilli powder
- As needed water
- 1 tbsp bajra flour + 2 tbsp water = paste
- 1/2 tsp garam masala powder
- For tadka:
- 2 tbsp ghee
- 1 tsp cumin seeds
- 1/4 tsp asafoetida
- 1/2 tsp red chilli powder
Steps to make to make Green Moong Dal Palak
- #Ingredients:
- Wash the moong dal and palak properly. Add 1 ½ cup water.
- Add salt and turmeric powder.
- Pressure cook for 2– 3 whistles.
- Once dal get cooked keep it aside for cooling.
- Heat the oil and ghee in the kadai. Add ginger garlic and green chilli paste and saute 30 seconds.
- Now add onion and saute for 2-3 minutes. Now add turmeric powder and coriander powder.
- Now add red chilli powder and water and mix well and add into the boiled dal palak.
- Now heat the dal palak in the cooker. When dal is boiling add bajra & water paste and mix well. Now add garam masala powder and mix well.
- Now heat the ghee in the tadka pan add cumin seeds.
- When seeds are splutter add asafoetida and red chili powder and mix.
- Now 1/2 tadka add to the boiled dal and mix.
- Now garnish Green Moong Dal Palak with rest 1/2 tadka and serve with makki methi ka paratha gud and green chutney.
