- Soak yellow moong dal. Chop Cauliflower. Pressure cook dal and cauliflower with turmeric and salt.
- In a kadhai heat oil. Add panch phutan and hing. After the phutan splutter, add onion, green chilli and fry till onions, translucent.
- Add ginger and garlic and saute till rawness goes away. Mix tomatoes and cook till soft and mushy.
- Add 1 Tbsp water to masala and mix rest all dry masala. Saute on low heat till oil separate from masala.
- Add the masala to the boiled dal and cauliflower and allow to boil. The delicious cauliflower and moong dal is ready to serve with steamed rice/roti.
